Our drama is based on Arthurian lore. We will have King Arthur bless the babe, held by Queen Quinevere. The Ladies of the Lake/ Triple Goddess/ Norns (three women who might represent any of these), will bring the babe from the Isle of rebirth. The midwife will deliver the child to the Queen. Arthur will bless the child with the return of Light. Merlin will raise the child and introduce her/him to the four winds and return him to the Mother (Queen). The Queen and King will place the Light/Infant in the cradle. The Three Ladies (who came from the East) will bless the child with (spoken word) gifts.
Merlin will narrate.

We skipped the re-written Christmas songs (which are a wee bit tacky, even if they did borrow our holiday). We had the ritual at home, not out and about. We invited only those we knew. And the whole thing went smashingly well.
