Geimini-Sggittarius moon cycle

When the moon highlights one of your natal houses, it doesn't bring its own influence to the house. It doesn't bring maternal energy or childhood/old age issues or nostalgia for the past -- any of the moon-fed ingredients. It simply highlights that house and the issues in that house.

However, the moon cycle is a whole 'nuther thing. The moon cycle is of the same energy as the sun cycle of that time. We're about to enter Gemini's moon cycle and we're about to enter Gemini sun, shortly afterward (in this instance, a whole week later). The sun will influence one house in your natal chart, bring those situtations and circumstances forward. It will also touch a chord in your progressed house -- things don't stay the same, and you have moved forward and dealth with those issues in one way or another -- either improved or intensified the lesson plan.

While the sun influences that house, the moon glides slowly through that house (and the one previous) and all the houses of the entire circle back to that house again -- all in the 27 1/2 days of the cycle.

Gemini lights up my ascendant, but it's also in my twelfth house (as was Taurus). During Taurus' moon cycle, old things came back -- old ways, old memories -- even old treasures (Taurus' ruling sign, Venus, is about what we love and cherish and value) came back.

The Handmaiden of Taurus, Fulla, carries a treasure chest of very practical values that belong to the Goddess, Frigga.

The Handmaiden of Gemini, Gna, carries messages to and from the Goddess.

Recently, I dealt with practical matters -- land we once owned, land I loved came back to us. We had something to do with that, but we weren't in the equation alone.

Now, I feel the stirring of a different sort of energy. This moon cycle begins where we already are -- in the earthy energy field of Fulla's values. But it moves swiftly out of earth-water. The full moon's tug was between Taurus and Scorpio. And now moves into the influence of air-fire; Gemini-Sagittarius will hold the full moon on May 27th(though Scorpio will hold onto the energy for a full 8 minutes on May 27th, before the sign changes).

Gemini = local, what you know, the familiar, siblings, communication, collecting information. Mercury is the sign. Gna is the Handmaiden. Gna rides her horse across land and sea to bring and carry messages to and from the Goddess, Frigga.

Sagittarius = long distance, what is foreign, teachers, philosophy, religion, the law, and publishing.

During Taurus-Scorpio, we dealth with local, familiar, earth. During Gemini-Sagittarius, we move again into the area of connection with our Gods and Goddesses, learn and teach new things, and deal with the fire of spirit and the air of communication.


Gemini belongs to the third house and Sagittarius to the ninth. Gna and Saga are the Handmaidens of this cycle, as Full and Hlin were the Handmaidens of the one just past.
