That's the title of the book I'd like to see. And there'd be the Bible verses that I like and quotes from other holy books expressing the same thing in different ways. Except it's true that once something is written, it's already history.
The Bible tells the story about the manna and how no one was supposed to save it up for the next day, but just eat it right then, in the moment, and the Tao tells us the Tao that can be written is not the real Tao, that once it's written, it's already in the past. Real manna, and the real Tao are in the moment. When the moment's gone, they've moved on. They are fresh in the next moment.
That's the dance between Uranus and Saturn. Saturn wants us to hold on the past, preserve what is. Uranus wants us to take a step forward, into the new.
The really weird thing is that when you move forward, leaving the past behind, you come around again to find what you thought was lost. So leave good things, so that coming around again to find them, you're blessed.
The Bible says a good name is to be had above riches. In the Old Religion, you speak good of the dead so they'll carry honor to the other side, so they'll know they were a success and retain some of the accomplishments of this incarnation to help them the next time around.
The Bible says as a man believes in his heart so is he. In most earth relgions, we're said to create by holding a thought through to manifestation. Thoughts are things and we co-create our lives through our thoughts.
The Bible says "judge not lest ye be judged" and "In that which you have judged, so shall ye be judged". Wisdom teaches us that when we judge someone else, we're actually casting our shadow out where we can see it, instead of claiming it and healing what needs healed.
Goddess teaches us that what we send out returns to us three-fold -- and the Bible says, "Cast your bread upon the waters and it shall not return to you void." Preachers have turned that wise saying into a scheme to get their people to put money in the till, but it wasn't talking about money.
Wise Women bless a red thread by the elements and use it to heal. Jesus mixed spit and mud and made a blind man see (and then told people, "Greater things than these shall you do.") The self-righteous of those days and of these say all this healing is done by way of the devil.
I believe there's a lot of wisdom in the Bible, same as there is in the Book of Changes, the Havamal, the Bagavhad Gita, the "book" of Tarot, and the other holy books. I don't believe the Bible is the infallible, unadulterated word of that which is called God, though.
More likely, it is the confiscated teachings of varied Wise Ones, gathered up from the destroyed writings and pressed into one book, greatly changed and carefully constructed to enslave rather than to free those who worship yesterdays manna, instead of letting Spirit write it all new every moment.
All the books hold only what was, but when we read them, what is comes to mind. We are the life that flows through all the holy books -- the Bible, Kabbalah, Green Eggs and Ham -- it's what you bring to it, not what's already there.
