In our charts, the moon holds memories of everythng we've ever known. It's from this we form our reactions to what is happening now. So we look to the south node to find what we've known and to the north node to find what we need to know.
On the eve of new moon, I get ready to work the coming cycle. There are always gifts/trials/stuggles/blessings to find. Our stories don't just "happen" to us. We help write them. It's easier done when we know what the Author has in mind. One of the many holy books, the Bible, puts it this way: "It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter." (Proverbs 25:2)
The moon comes new at 26 Aries 34 -- In the cycle of wisdom that is the Sabian Symbols, we use the degree following this as the point of what is becoming. The symbol says: Through imaginiation, a lost opportunity is regained.
This makes a lovely goal to use for a moon working in this cycle.
"Judging things to be positive when once we viewed only the negative of the situation." "Change your mind and change your outcome." "Hopes renewed when all seemed lost."
What a wonderful thing to work toward.
Finding this degree in my own chart gives me more to go on. Issues of the house where this degree is found will be illumined by the moon. And taking the torch of the previous Aries moon cycle, I can move forward into new territory -- into Taurus' cycle of of the moon.
