so that's not exactly true -- that old saw about a baby most likely to be born at the full moon. In the charts I story-find, I see the moon in all the phases.

With my babies, people would tell me, every time, "This one's going to be a boy --I can tell by the way you're carrying." And of course, I had three girls. And they would tell me, in the month when baby Dooley was about to be born, "Full moon's coming --you'll go into labor then."

Didn't happen. All three were born in the waning moon, two in the disseminating moon phase and the youngest in the balsamic phase, very close to the new moon.

And I'm quite happy with those facts.

Moonphase astrology teaches that our talents and struggles are pictured in the moon, that the phase in which you were born tells part of your story.

New Moon babies begin things well and with lots of energy and enthusiasm, but see from a purely subjective point of view that makes it hard to follow through. These are the ones who make their mark early in life.

Full moon children have hidden guilt that they don't understand, but they are able to bring things to fruition while others can't. Their guilt may come from the attitudes of the parents at the time of conception, for it's said that full moon babies are conceived when the parents are at odds. This makes the full moon person also have conflicts between the inner nature and the outer. Just past middle age is the time of rewards.

A person of the disseminating moon is a revolutionary, often a teacher, who scatters their seeds to the winds. They have a hard time compromising and seeing both sides. Early fifties bring rewards

Last Quarter people are good at helping others organize and find solutions. They are nostalgic and need to learn to live in the future and not hearken so to the past. Late fifties bring rewards.

Balsalmic phase people take it all in and when they are ready, they make sense of what they've gathered and tie up the loose ends and help in passing from one phase to another. There are many endings for them, but their lives keep getting better as they move toward maturity.

As with any "cafe" astrology, take what you read with a grain of salt. These are generalized descriptions and there are tunings and fine lines in your own story which change and reorganize these generalities.
