Welcome to my woodfire, this virtual hearth, with the magic humming and the tea brewing and the books spilling over. That music in the background, that's my Honey playing his guitar, or it could be Addie Bell, my little mountain dulcimer or the rain on a tin roof, or the windriver singing way up high. Here in the hills, there's music everywhere you give a listen. So, sit a spell and lets listen together.

Rune Wednesday -- FEHU
I asked the runes where to begin, drew FEHU -- begin at the beginning -- and as
well, address the issue of Wealth.
What, to you, is wealth? Does (and if so, how does) cultural programming instill
in us a fear or distrust of money?
FEHU: "(Money) is a comfort to everyone
though every man ought to deal it out freely
if he wants to gain approval of the Gods." (anglo-Saxon)
"Gold causes strife among kinsmen
The wolf grows up in the woods" (Old Norse)
"Money is the strife among Kinsmen
and the fire of the flood-tide
and the path of the serpent" (Icelandic)
One is called help and help you it shall in sickness and in sorrow
and in affliction. (Havamal 146)
Fehu, Inwaz, Laguz: Fe-ing-la (a chant to help in times of need).
try this: begin with writing everything you think about money -- write the word
in the center of a blank piece of paper and begin to branch off from the word,
MONEY -- and spare nothing in telling the good and the bad. Then branch off from
each of the words or phrases in the outer ring of what you wrote. Go as far with
this (on as many sheets of paper) as you like.
Then take out a clean sheet of paper and write (without looking at your
word-map). You may be surprised at what you find.
Fe Vit Frith Grith Heil!
