Day 14 of 31 Days to Know You
Places have personality, too.
Go back to a place where you've lived before. Walk around and let the ghosts of yesterday talk to you. Then you may begin to see that only part of who you thought you were was really you -- part was the oversoul of the place.
The group-mind of a place filters through to us. It gives us shape the same as it does other things. Only the shape it gives may not be authentically us. Who were we judged to be? How did those judgements affect us? Are you the person your old friends and neighbors thought you were? How much did the unspoken assessements define you to you? Did you comply/conform? Did you rebel?
If you could send a message to the you the place/people defined, what would you say?
Say it to that person who still lives in your inner world.
