of the series: 31 Days to Know You
THE MISSING POST (22)
Return
to one of the people
you used to be
in your childhood years,
your tween or 'tweens
your 20-somethings
...
Return to whichever phase of life you lived
AUTHENTICALLY
What did you do then that you don't do now?
Are you still the person who could be happy living in the way you lived then?
The past is past and the future never comes -- there is only NOW. Yet sometimes before we can focus on the present, we need to find out what the past gave us and deal with it. We enter the future through the doorway of the past, coming to a place we were to find it changed -- to find we are changed and the place is new. Then, we are able to see it -- in present tense, without the sticky-threads of all we believed it once contained.
Quite truthfully, we are seldom in the present moment,
Each moment contains past/present/future
"This place looks like..."
"I remember..."
"S/he reminds me of..."
Instead of trying to ignore all the calls of the past or of the future --
explore those calls to find out more about who you are.
