Day 8 of 31 Days to Know You
Sometimes the whispers of the still small voice are too quiet to be heard underneath all that is going on around us. I like all the knowing ways that link us to that inner Guide, but we are all different and some may not be inclined to learn Runes, Tarot, or any of the other tools of self-knowledge.
Oracle cards are a good in-between way to accesses the energy and message of the day or gain insight concerning a particular subject. With Oracle cards, you shuffle a deck of lovely pictures, draw one card and study it. After you've gained what you can simply by looking at the card, you may want to look it up in the book that comes with the deck. Let your eyes roam over the page or pages of the author's writing and find what is relevant to you. In most Oracle decks there will be a long passage full of information and a simple one or two paragraphs at the end which sum up what has been said.
Over the next few days, I will be drawing one card from a different Oracle each day, a sampling of cards -- asking the question --"how is my subject important -- what is in the work that can help and why is it important to 'know yourself'."

"Look at your present goals and discern how they affect your future -- are the answers you seek from your own inner knowing? If not, it may be time to Enter the Silence and digest the questions so that your personal answers can emerge."
