MULUK -- the MOON -- the reservoir of remembrance.

The day is still ahead of me. I don't know what it holds. This morning I woke before the sun came up, went to my prayers, moved forward with Tai Chi (something new).

Trees and hills are covered in frost this morning, limbs encased in ice. Every day, there is a little bird who lands on the tree limb out front and chirps at my husband until he comes back into the house to get a piece of cornbread or a bit of birdseed. This morning, a different bird was there, smaller, and more insistent ("food, we need food - damn, it's cold") Right now, birdsong is everywhere.
