OC is called the dog -- it is about loyalty and about devotion to friends.
I don't know what the rest of today will bring, but already there have been calls -- connections to new friends -- to folks with common interests.
Yesterday, we walked the woods with our friend, Amy. It was a lovely time, the day just chill enough to be that wonderful kind of winter clear. We walked old farms - she knows the history -- she pointed out the oldest trees -- we ate hopping john and corn bread that was made from local-milled corn. Why on earth I didn't take along a bottle of my dandelion wine to share I don't know. I hope we can get together to make more this year -- in the company of friends.
